Vacuum Forming
In the sign industry this is typically a method using the heat and vacuum in a vacuum forming machine to form sheet plastics including acrylics over a mold into shapes, letters, logos, lightbox panels etc.
Vector File
A vector graphics file is resolution independant and can be scaled with no loss of quality. It is a series of geometric shapes, consisting of outlines. These outlines are stored as mathematical equations (.EPS, .AI, .CDR are some formats). Vector graphics often serve better for typesetting or for graphic design than raster graphics that deal more practically with photographs and photo-realistic images.
